If your whole strategy is “you’re so beautiful” and a $5 tip, congratulations. You are currently competing with the wallpaper.
Dancers hear the same five lines all night. The ones that actually land are funny, specific, and make her feel like a person instead of a vending machine with glitter. Use these. Don’t recite them like a hostage script. Pick one. Listen. Laugh. Tip like you have a pulse.
1. “Be honest… on a scale of 1 to ‘I’ve seen some shit,’ where does tonight rank?”
This is the icebreaker that says: I know this job is chaos, I’m not pretending it’s a fairy tale.
Best-case answer: she starts roasting the night immediately. That’s when the conversation becomes fun instead of transactional.
2. “If you had a secret dance move you only break out for the right energy, what would it take for me to see it?”
Flirty without being demanding. You’re asking about energy, not issuing a command. Huge difference.
Also, if she says “better music and a man who can follow instructions,” just take the L with grace.
3. “What’s the most ridiculous request you’ve gotten this week that you still somehow made look cool?”
Dancers are professional improvisers. This question lets her flex. People love talking about the time they turned a disaster into a moment. Let her.
4. “If this club had a ‘Customer of the Night’ award, what would someone have to do to actually deserve it?”
This is the cheat sheet question. You’re asking for the real rules of the room.
Spoiler: the answer is almost never “ask for her real name in the first 12 seconds.”
5. “Quick game: describe your ideal customer in three words and I’ll tell you how close I am.”
Short. Playful. Slightly competitive. Perfect.
If her three words are “quiet, generous, leaves,” you now have a map. Use it.
6. “What’s one thing guys always get wrong during a dance that drives you crazy… and one thing that actually impresses you?”
This is the most useful question on the list.
You’re giving her a chance to vent and teach you. That’s rare. Most guys only want compliments. This one wants the manual.
7. “If you could temporarily swap lives with any customer in here for 24 hours, who would you pick and why?”
Instant people-watching game. Now you’re both judging the room together, which is 10x better than you staring at her like a lost golden retriever.
8. “What’s the weirdest song you’ve ever had to dance to… and did you still kill it?”
Obviously she killed it. That’s the joke. That’s the compliment. That’s the story.
Every dancer has a “why is this song happening” saga. Ask for it.
9. “If your heels could talk, what’s the most unhinged story they’d tell about tonight?”
This one gets a laugh before she even answers. That’s the point.
Heels have seen war. Let them testify.
10. “Real talk — what’s the funniest way someone has ever tried (and failed) to impress you in this club?”
This is the closer. It gives her the best story of the night and makes you the guy who wants to hear it, not the guy trying to become it.
If she starts the story with “okay so this man walked in with a briefcase…” sit down. You’re about to learn.
How to Not Ruin This
- Tip first. Conversation second. Respect her time before asking for her stories.
- Don’t treat these like a checklist you’re speedrunning. Pick one question, stick with it, and let the conversation breathe.
- If she’s working, keep it light and let her lead. Read her body language and energy.
- If the answer is short, she’s busy. Don’t become another ridiculous request of the week.
- The goal is not to “win.” The goal is to be the customer she doesn’t immediately forget.
Be funny. Be easy. Be generous.
That’s the whole game.
